signed a contract to collaborate for the establishment of a
Regional Centre for Information Communication Technology
(CICT) in Manama, Bahrain.

Salma Abbasi, Chairperson of e Worldwide Group joins hands
Chair of the British Government Women’s Taskforce, Rt Hon
Baroness Uddin, to support the organization in the capacity
of a strategic advisor.
The work is to
address the under representation of women in public life and
has been established under the leadership of Lady Uddin, the
first Muslim member of the House of Lords, to help make
local and central government more representative of the
community.
Ms. Salma
Abbasi is supporting the BAME Taskforce in developing
strategies, to conduct the holistic multidimensional
capacity building of women councillors through a progressive
and ongoing process to create a cost effective virtual
living network of support structure to assist the women
councillors in effectively performing their roles and
responsibilities. Additionally, awareness campaigns would be
conducted to encourage women to step forward to become
councillors and to mainstream BAME women in multiple streams
of political life.
